Week 6 - FBC Jamestown, Calvary Church, Union Grove Baptist Church, North Hampton UMC, Grace UMC, & First Presbyterian Hannibal.

Rosamond
Week 6 has come and gone already - we can't believe it! FBC Jamestown was at Rosamond this week. With five stations, there was always something for everyone to enjoy! Bible Story was complete with colorful posters, big pictures, and a silly little river otter puppet named Romper. Crafts ranged from salvation bracelets to Christmas ornaments, all of which were well-timed and lots of fun. Science station was well equipped with fun experiments that related to life on mission. The kids were so excited to go home and show their families how the joy of Jesus bubbles up inside of us like baking soda on a lemon! Song's station was a blast with musical chairs and hand games, and games was always an adventure! At the end of the week, every kid got to take home a handmade cross necklace. Natia was so excited to get everyone to autograph her cross so she could remember to pray for her new friends by name - so sweet! Thank you, FBC Jamestown, for all of your efforts this week. Keep us in your prayers over the next two weeks!

Guernsey
This week Calvary Church was in town and hanging out at G-Street! The church has been to Guernsey Bible Club before, so they were excited to reunite with some of the kids! The team put on a friendly competition for our older boys as they created new relay races for them to complete each day in games. The kids loved it, and it was sweet to see our older boys cheer one another on as they raced. All our kids learned about Jesus’ tomb and baptism during Bible story. Our youngest kids loved decorating rocks that resembled Jesus’ tomb and making megaphones out of plastic cups. The kids showed their knowledge off to us all week by shouting the good news of the Lord through their megaphones. Abbey and I are very excited to let everyone know that one of our older boys, Courtney, has accepted the Lord into his life! For those who know Courtney, you know how truly smart he his and the depth of his many questions. After having multiple conversations with him throughout the week, Courtney asked if we could pray together for him to accept the Lord. We could not be any more excited about this! I am so thankful for all the seeds that teams have planted in Courtney! It has been an amazing summer so far, and we ask for prayers as our summer comes to a close. See you next year, Calvary. Thanks for all you did this week!

National
This week at National we had Union Grove Baptist Church in the house. The week was filled with lots of dancing, bubble blowing, and jump roping. During crafts, the team helped the kids make a coat of many colors and a lion mask among some other cute things. During songs, the kids played hot potato, and when the music stopped they had to say what their favorite thing about club was. It was such a neat way for the team and the kids to interact. In games, Union Grove planned jump rope, sharks and minnows, and ultimate soccer. The team had interactive Bible stories and even used lemonade to demonstrate sharing. Thank you all so much for sacrificing your time to spend it with the National kids!

Jackson
I don't know what I've been told, Bible club ain't getting old! What a fun-filled week at Jackson! Calvary Church came full of love to give, and it was a blessing to see them be the hands and feet of Jesus this week. The kids learned about how God is able to heal broken and hurting hearts, and they symbolized that by bandaging a heart with band-aids in crafts. The kids had a ton of fun playing soccer and kickball at games, and they loved making megaphones at crafts to remind them to share the good news. When the Bible story was about Jesus being baptized, it was really awesome to hear one of our older girls, Perla, explain back to me that baptism was a symbol of how God has washed us clean of our sins. She knew that baptism showed others that one had believed in Christ and chosen to follow Him. There is no doubt that God has been pouring out His love on the kids at Jackson!

Johnson
It was a hot week at Johnson, but the kids still had an awesome time! Calvary Church loved on our kids so, so well. The kids had an awesome time learning about Jesus and John the Baptist. In crafts, the kids enjoyed "baptizing Jesus" and making healed hearts. In games, they enjoyed playing all kinds of games like Mr. Bear and kickball. Their favorite was a Sharks and Minos style game called Infection which related to the Bible Story of Jesus healing lepers. Something that meant a lot to me was being able to give a Bible to Jay. He is such a big help at club, and we can’t wait to watch him grow in his faith after accepting Christ last week! Thank you to Calvary Church for loving our kids so well! After a high of 40 kids this week, we can’t wait to see Bible Club Johnson continue to grow!

Que Que
Through the heat and through the humidity, God was showed up at Bible Club Que Que this week. Thanks to Grace UMC, we had some precious moments with some awesome kids this week. After 6 weeks of being out at Bible Club, we finally started to see some walls come down for one of our sweet girls. One of our older boys was really touched by the kindness of the leaders, so much so that he wanted to give the cross he made at crafts to his favorite leaders on Friday. Seeds that have been planted and watered throughout this summer are definitely showing growth. We are so thankful for Grace UMC for all that they did to bring life to the Que Que party. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the next week!

Whittier
If I had to choose one word to describe this week at Whittier it would be extraordinary. We are so thankful to Calvary West Campus for hanging out with us another year! This team's love and enthusiasm kept the kids coming out for club. We had a summer high of 59 on Thursday and remained in the 50’s all week. They found new kids and ministered to new families all week long. The kids had a blast in bible story and showed their knowledge by answering questions and receiving candy. Games kept the energy up with dance parties and finger dart relays! In crafts, the kids made shields, salvations chains, and megaphones, which they used to shout and spread the good news of Jesus! For those of you who know Ambree and Devin, they both accepted Christ this week. We are so thankful for all God did this week & eager for another amazing week of Bible club.

Pope
We had a great week hanging out with kids at Pope this week thanks to North Hampton UMC. The kids loved to dance to songs like the Cupid Shuffle and Church Clap. They played several games including sharks and minnows, duck duck goose, and a new game called Wax Museum. North Hampton taught the kids about Jesus washing our sins away and the death and resurrection of Christ. In crafts, the kids made treasure chests (because they are treasures to God) as well as wonder bottles, picture frames, and origami things. Everyone had a blast at club this week, from just loving on kids to sharing the Gospel with them. Thanks for a great week, North Hampton UMC.

Treadwell
Hello Treadwellians! God showed his sovereignty multiple times over the course of this week at Bible club, and it was amazing! We had twenty-eight different children come to club this week to hear about the gospel. Our older kids station on Thursday did not want to stop hearing about God, so the other rotations continued the Bible story for them. On Friday, many children were spoken to about what it means to accept Jesus into their heart and a salvation took place! Ry’Niya, the cousin of Martaja and Tank, understood the choice she had made and was joyful about it. When I asked her what this choice meant for her life she told me, “It won’t always be easy, but I’m going to live differently now and become more and more like Jesus. When I get angry, I have to pause to think about my actions and what Jesus would want me to do. I can’t just hit people anymore.” I am so thankful to God for increasing our kingdom family this past week at Treadwell with the help of First Presbyterian Hannibal! Thank you for answering the call this past week could not have happened the way it did without you!
